MONDAY APRIL 23rd, 2018

The results of the attendance competition for the last half term were announced in the assembly last Monday. Congratulations to the following forms:
1st 7C – 97.5% 2nd 8C 96.9%, 3rd 8B 96.8%
They will all be given early-lunch passes. I wonder who will win this half term’s competition. Congratulations are also due to Billy Brian, year 11, one of twelve British cadets selected to visit Canada during the summer. Warm congratulations to Billy and we hope that he will enjoy and benefit immensely from this experience – well done!

Bethan Gwanas, a prominent Welsh author, visited school on Thursday and spoke to some Year 7 pupils. They all enjoyed listening to a very enthusiastic and inspirational speaker.

It was a joy to receive a letter from the Urdd this week. A number of our pupils participated in a trip organised by the Urdd to Alton Towers on Monday, April 9th. The letter spoke very highly of our pupils and their behaviour on the trip. They were very worthy ambassadors of Caereinion High School.

Congratulations to our rugby teams who travelled to North Wales this week. The year team played against Ysgol Glan Clwyd and gave the opponents a challenging match. The final score was Caereinion 35 Glan Clwyd 36. Man of the math was Rhodri Jones. The year 10 team played against Ysgol Brynhyfryd, Ruthin and secured a victory – Caereinion 37 Brynhyfryd 12. We wish them well as they proceed to the next round.

Congratulations to all our pupils who have been performing with Ysgol Theatr Maldwyn recently. Their production of Y Cylch was excellent.

As chair of Caereinion PTA, I am asking and hoping that parents and friends can help support and raise funds for the school!
An ongoing fund raiser is our 200 club. Tickets are £5 each and this entitles you to a number that will be in a draw for several months. We aim to sell 200 numbers and hope that parents can support. The money raised will go towards resources.
I have attended a couple of parents evening to sell our 200 club tickets. I will attend tonight’s year 10 parent evening.
If anybody can support please send £5 per number to the office with name and contact number. Leaflets have been previously sent out with all pupils.
Our first draw will be drawn on the last week of term.

We are also encouraging you to help fundraise through
CAEREINION EASYFUNDRAISING which raises funds simply by online shopping.

Fel Cadeirydd CRhA, rwy’n gofyn a gobeithio bod rhieni a ffrindiau’r ysgol yn fodlon helpu a chefnogi i godi arian yn ein clwb 200. Mae tocynnau yn £5, sy’n golygu eich bod yn cael rhif, a fydd yn cael ei gynnwys mewn raffl. Ein nod yw i werthu 200 o rifau. Bydd yr arian sy’n cael ei godi yn mynd tuag at adnoddau i’r ysgol. Rwyf wedi mynychu ambell i noson rieni er mwyn gwerthu tocynnau. Byddaf yno heno yn noson rhieni Blwyddyn 10.
Os oes unrhyw un yn gallu cefnogi, plis anfonwch £5 fesul rhif i’r swyddfa gyda‘ch enw a rhif cyswllt. Mae taflenni wedi cael eu danfon adref yn flaenorol gyda disgyblion. Mae ein raffl 1af yn cael ei dynnu ar ddiwedd y tymor ysgol.
Diolch a plîs rhannwch

PARENT APP NEC Trip tomorrow Fri 30th Nov 2018

The school trip to the NEC tomorrow is to the Good Food Show. It should only have been published to the relevant pupils in years 10 and 11, but due to a known fault with the app, it gets sent to all parents.

Unfortunately we are unable to correct the information in the app at the moment to amend the title to be more clear.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

Braint fawr oedd cael gwahoddiad i ganu yn y Ffair Aeaf eleni. Aeth yr adran Gerddoriaeth a llond bws mini o leisiau swynol i berfformio yn y ffair. Cafwyd diwrnod llawn hwyl a sbri ac er bod y tywydd yn oer roedd y croeso yn gynnes iawn

It was a pleasure to have an invitation to sing at the Winter Fair this year. The Music department took a whole mini bus of magical voices to the fair. We had a day full of fun performing and although the weather was cold the welcome was very warm
