MONDAY APRIL 23rd, 2018

The results of the attendance competition for the last half term were announced in the assembly last Monday. Congratulations to the following forms:
1st 7C – 97.5% 2nd 8C 96.9%, 3rd 8B 96.8%
They will all be given early-lunch passes. I wonder who will win this half term’s competition. Congratulations are also due to Billy Brian, year 11, one of twelve British cadets selected to visit Canada during the summer. Warm congratulations to Billy and we hope that he will enjoy and benefit immensely from this experience – well done!

Bethan Gwanas, a prominent Welsh author, visited school on Thursday and spoke to some Year 7 pupils. They all enjoyed listening to a very enthusiastic and inspirational speaker.

It was a joy to receive a letter from the Urdd this week. A number of our pupils participated in a trip organised by the Urdd to Alton Towers on Monday, April 9th. The letter spoke very highly of our pupils and their behaviour on the trip. They were very worthy ambassadors of Caereinion High School.

Congratulations to our rugby teams who travelled to North Wales this week. The year team played against Ysgol Glan Clwyd and gave the opponents a challenging match. The final score was Caereinion 35 Glan Clwyd 36. Man of the math was Rhodri Jones. The year 10 team played against Ysgol Brynhyfryd, Ruthin and secured a victory – Caereinion 37 Brynhyfryd 12. We wish them well as they proceed to the next round.

Congratulations to all our pupils who have been performing with Ysgol Theatr Maldwyn recently. Their production of Y Cylch was excellent.
