Kind Donation from Woodland Trust

The school was once again fortunate to receive a kind donation of 300 saplings from the Woodland Trust.  The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity that inspires pupils and students to love woods and trees.

The agricultural students put their practical skills to good use in planting the saplings in the school grounds, and in Deri Woods.  Hopefully in years to come this will provide an ideal habitat to attract wildlife around the school.

It only takes 12yrs for saplings planted now to flourish into young woods, helping to boost the UK’s tree cover from just 13%.
