The primary science club have now finished their Mars habitats and have been planting seeds under different conditions in order to investigate what plants need to grow. This is linked to looking at how people might grow their own food on Mars, and what conditions they would need for horticulture. In their final session before Easter they played a game that encouraged them to prioritise the equipment they would need to survive a crash landing on Mars. Apparently the discussion about this lasted until the tea table in one house!
The high school science club have been investigating landing on Mars, this links to watching the weather balloon launch, and how the payload safely returns to earth. They have been building a payload in order to test its’ suitability to protect vital instruments, (an egg was used to represent them). ffffffff
